Travis Martin is thriving.
Today, as the founder of Thrive! Weight Loss, LLC.,
he has a lot to be thankful for.

In 1999, Travis weighed 288 pounds and had almost 40% body fat. Since he was 15 years old, his health depended on prescription medicines to keep his blood pressure and cholesterol levels in check, and surgery was in his near future. After a stress test at the doctor’s office, it was revealed that his 29-year-old heart was more like that of a 60-year-old.

After a life-changing realization that he had to take responsibility for his life and well-being, Travis began researching nutrition to turn his health around. What he discovered and the process that led him to that discovery developed into the Thrive! system that we have today. His motto is that he didn’t found Thrive, really: Thrive! found him.

While Travis was losing weight and changing his outlook on life, his friends, family, and doctor noticed. His blood pressure returned to normal: something that hadn’t happened in almost 15 years of taking medication. His cholesterol was at healthy levels--he was Thriving!

Travis sat down with his friend who also wanted to lose weight. After explaining his methods, they went for a tour of the local grocery store. Customers heard Travis explaining his nutrition outline, and began following him along on the tour. After an hour and a half walk through the store, several asked if he could return the next week to help them with their shopping!

After more checkups, Travis’ doctor was thrilled at his progress. He began referring patients to Travis for nutritional help and weight loss. Other doctors called from Rome and Cartersville, asking if they, too, could send a few of their patients his way for nutritional help. Everything began to quickly take shape, and Travis knew that if what he was doing was beneficial to this group of people, he could help so many more! It was during this time that Travis decided to quit everything else and take the leap of faith. Thrive! as we know it today was founded.
